MIST Secures Top Positions in the 16th National Math Olympiad (Dhaka North Zone)
The 16th National Math Olympiad (Dhaka North Zone) was held on 21 November 2025 at Daffodil International University, where a total of 188 students from 55 universities participated. The event brought together some of the brightest mathematical talents from across the region.
MIST is delighted to announce that two students from the MIST Math Club achieved remarkable success in this highly competitive contest. Mrinmoy Das Pio (Level-3, ME) secured the 5th position, while Abid Hossain (Level-3, NSE) achieved the 8th position, demonstrating exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
Both participants have qualified for the Final Round, scheduled to be held at BUET on 5 December 2025. From each of the eight zones, the top ten contestants will advance to the final stage, where the best minds from across the country will compete.
MIST congratulates its students on their outstanding accomplishment and extends its best wishes to them for continued success in the final round.
